CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

PILATES

Pilates is known for its amazing ability to strengthen your core, improve posture, create more flexibility, and develop a long, lean, supple look to your body.

Mat Class

Mat work is just one component of the whole system of exercises that Pilates offers. Pilates on the mat requires you to support all of your body weight with gravity as resistance through the movements. Small apparatus such as balls, foam rollers, Pilates rings, and stretch bands may be used with various mat exercises to both support and challenge the body. Limited to 6 students to ensure focused and detailed instruction and correction.

Reformer Class

This class spends the majority of time using perhaps the most renowned of all Pilates equipment, the Reformer (a sophisticated system of springs, straps, pulleys and a rolling platform). This machine both supports and challenges the body to create more efficient movement patterns and build strong muscles and bones. Students move through a series of exercises lying face down, face up, sitting, and standing on the Reformer. Equipment adjustment and changes are explained and demonstrated throughout the class. Limited to 3 students to ensure focused and detailed instruction and correction.

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE PILATES REFORMER: A beginner class open to all fitness levels. Due to the advanced level of skills required for these classes, Beginner Clients must first be cleared by one of our certified instructors before attending these Group Classes. This is required for safety reasons.

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED PILATES REFORMER: An intermediate class that includes specific advanced exercises depending on the client’s progress. A full understanding of the equipment is required to take this class. Clients must first be cleared by one of our certified instructors before attending these Group Classes.

YOGA

Yoga is known for xyz

Knot Just Yoga

Slow and mindful movement, allowing you time and space to explore. This class is designed to stretch, breathe, and tone. Feel your muscles release, your nervous system balance, and your mind to let go. Suitable for all levels.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is your body's reward for getting through the week. Whether you have a strict workout routine, or spend the day sitting at a desk and driving, this is for you. This class allows your body the time it needs to recover by surrendering into poses supported with props. Suitable for all levels.

Rise & Shine Yoga

Join us for Rise and Shine Yoga, and start your day off with an hour of self-love as the sun rises. Center yourself, with Pranayama, and maybe even some Meditation as we wake up the body with an intentional slow Vinyasa, and balancing Asana practice. Rise your vibration and energy level simultaneously with the sun. Suitable for all levels.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is the perfect practice to complement the more heat-building, muscular Yoga (Yang Yoga), that we practice more often. Yin directs stimulation to deeper connective tissue, that isn't usually targeted in everyday Vinyasa, or Asana practice. Postures will be held for 3-5 minutes, and will usually target the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. A calming practice for all levels. This is the perfect way to unwind and end your week.

Group classes are not permitted for clients with injuries or weakness in the core, neck and/or back.
